What Apple Support 247 is

Apple Support 247 is an independent technology publication that produces troubleshooting guides, error explanations and how-to resources for people who use Mac, iPhone, iPad and other Apple devices.

We are a publication — not a support service, not a repair business, and not an Apple Authorised entity of any kind. Our guides are written by technology writers who research how Apple devices and software behave, explain what symptoms and error messages typically mean, and describe the checks that are most likely to help.

Who we are for

Our guides are written for people who want to understand what is happening with their device before taking it for repair, or who want to work through a problem themselves using clear, sequenced information.

We write for everyday users, not specialists. We avoid jargon where plain language works just as well, we explain what a step does before instructing someone to do it, and we always put reversible checks before irreversible ones.

Our editorial standards

Every guide on this site is written by a named author whose background and expertise areas are disclosed. We do not fabricate credentials. Our writers are technology writers and researchers, not Apple-certified technicians, and we say so plainly.

We source our troubleshooting information from Apple's own documentation, published software developer documentation, standards body documentation, and reputable technical publications. We cite sources at the end of every article. We do not fabricate citations or attribute claims to Apple that Apple has not made.

When a step carries a risk — erasing data, modifying a system file, reinstalling software — we warn about it explicitly before the instruction, not after it.

What we cannot help with

We do not offer live phone support, remote-access sessions, or paid repair services. If you are contacted by anyone claiming to be Apple Support 247 and offering these services, that is not us.

We strongly advise never allowing an unknown party to take remote control of your device, and never sharing your Apple ID password, device passcode, 2FA codes, or recovery keys with any website or caller that asks for them.

Corrections and updates

Apple software changes between releases. An instruction that was accurate for one macOS version may not be accurate for another. We update our articles when we become aware that steps have changed, and we note the last-updated date on every article.

If you notice something inaccurate, you can report it through our Corrections Policy page.
